Please join us in sharing with these children who are in need. All donations will be sent through our partners at the Global Orphan Project . Your donation is tax deductible and you can be assured that 100% of your donation will go directly to an orphaned child. For more information on ways in which you can contribute, see below.

Care & Giving Model One
Build a Children's Home. For $5,400 (U.S. Dollars) our partners in Rwanda will construct a 3-bedroom home to house one widow and 8 children. While this is not a deluxe, western-style home, it is a new home fashioned after their typical rural Rwandan home. It would have a living room, a boys' bedroom, girls' bedroom and a widow/caregiver's bedroom. The kitchen is a 3-walled structure in the courtyard; the bathroom is a two-room structure: one small room for bathing from a bowl of water; the other small room housing the latrine. In-door plumbing is not typical in rural Rwanda and electricity is not available. The home would be constructed with mud bricks, upgraded to contain concrete for durability against damage during the rainy season. The roof is corrugated tin. The home would have a stone foundation, wooden doors and some basic furnishings. Again, this is not luxurious, but it is above the standard of many homes we visited, and, very adequate for this simple lifestyle in this temperate climate.

Care & Giving Model Two
Support an Orphan in a Home. For $25 per month, you can provide the 5 basic needs: Shelter, Food, Clothing, Education and Health Care. (In Rwanda, there is no free education. Whereas government education may be cheaper than private education, kids go to school only if they can afford it and to whatever school is closest to their home. Again, it is a function of a developing nation to not be able to provide all the services we take for granted in western nations.)

Care & Giving Model Three
Provide education and health care for a vulnerable child for $8 per month. There are many children within families (or orphans taken in by families) that cannot afford education and health care for these children. $8 per month can cover these expenses for one child.

Care & Giving Model Four
Apply Where Needed Most. This is a category for any size gifts that will help us meet miscellaneous needs like repairing widows' and orphans' homes--those who don't need us to build them one but need repairs on their present dwelling. Or, it may be a healthcare transportation need (transporting someone in need to a hospital distant to them) or any of the various needs that come up that aren't covered by the above Care Models.
